Details

Vanderwell, a wood products manufacturing company with approximately 160 employees, seeks to understand its organizational culture and employee attitudes through a comprehensive employee satisfaction survey. The goal is to establish a baseline for employee satisfaction and identify areas for improvement, including diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. The project involves selecting a reliable research-based satisfaction survey, with a recommendation to use the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) short form. Students will be responsible for setting up and implementing the survey, analyzing the collected data, and providing actionable recommendations to enhance employee satisfaction and organizational culture. This project offers students a practical opportunity to apply their knowledge of survey design, data analysis, and organizational behavior in a real-world setting.

Deliverables

- A fully implemented employee satisfaction survey using the MSQ short form or an equivalent reliable tool.

- A comprehensive analysis report detailing the survey results, highlighting key findings and trends.

- A set of actionable recommendations aimed at improving employee satisfaction and DEI within Vanderwell.

- A presentation summarizing the survey process, findings, and recommendations for Vanderwell's management team.
