web pages research website architecture website managementImpact 100 Seattle is a collective giving organization. We depend on our members to donate $1000 each and then give large grants to local nonprofit organizations supporting under-served communities. Our website was built 4 years ago, and is currently not very user-friendly, with lots of text and not many pictures. It requires updating, consolidating, and creating a better platform for future updates. We would like to collaborate with students to create new pages, new friendlier and more modern look and feel and optimize it for searchability.
This will involve several different steps for the students, including:
- Researching competitive sites to find best practices.
- Identifying and researching useful web pages that can be included on our website.
- Creating new pages for the website, with our assistance in providing the content.
- Reviewing and updating old web pages to ensure consistency of information.
- Reviewing and making SEO recommendations
Bonus steps in the process would also include:
- Recommending potential upgrades or features that can be included in the website
- Copy writing and graphic design if students have those skills.
By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:
- Research and understanding of best in class practices and way to improve UI.
- Creation of new pages for our website using the current system that we are tied to.
- Recommendations and improvements for old web pages.
- Suggesting improvements to the overall website.
Bonus steps would include:
- Creating copy and or graphics for the website.
Final deliverables should include
- A presentation of the new web pages and updates made to old ones.

About the company
Impact 100 Seattle is a womenâs collective giving organization that supports transformational change through unrestricted grants for community-based organizations serving the Puget Sound Region.
Each year, we aim to partner with a local nonprofit organization and support it with a $100,000 grant, paid over the course of 1-3 years. In addition to providing funding, we aim to support our partners beyond the check by employing the skills, connections, and resources of our diverse membership.
In our work, we are guided by the principles of trust-based philanthropy through which, we hope to support the local nonprofit community while addressing some of the unhealthy power dynamics in traditional philanthropy.
