Details

Moon Trades Technologies seeks to develop a market-ready prototype of PEBBLE, an AI-powered, autonomous resource extraction system designed to operate efficiently in extreme terrestrial environments, such as deserts and polar regions. Learners will apply their skills in AI, robotics, and sustainability to design and optimize a system capable of autonomous resource identification, extraction, and processing. Tasks include CAD modeling, prototyping, and testing the system under simulated conditions to validate its reliability and effectiveness. Participants will also integrate sustainability practices to minimize environmental impact and explore commercialization strategies, such as market research and partnership development. Additional activities include drafting grant proposals to support funding opportunities. Deliverables include a functional prototype, a technical validation report, a sustainability integration plan, and a market research summary. This project allows learners to gain hands-on experience in deep-tech innovation while contributing to a solution addressing challenges in resource extraction and environmental responsibility.

Deliverables

Learners will complete a series of tasks and deliverables aimed at achieving the project goal of developing a market-ready prototype for PEBBLE, an AI-powered resource extraction system. Key tasks include designing and testing a functional prototype using Siemens software for CAD modeling and simulations, alongside optimizing AI algorithms for autonomous navigation and resource extraction. Learners will integrate sustainability practices by researching eco-friendly materials and processes to minimize environmental impact. They will conduct market research to analyze the competitive landscape, identify target segments, and explore potential partnerships. Additionally, learners will assist in drafting grant proposals to secure funding opportunities. Deliverables include a tested and refined prototype, a technical validation report, a sustainability integration plan, a market research summary, and completed grant applications. This hands-on experience equips learners with practical skills in robotics, AI, sustainability, and commercialization, contributing to an innovative solution for resource extraction challenges.
