I am a university student dedicated to fostering healing, empowerment, and transformation in the lives of neurodivergent individuals and their families. With over 20 years of personal inner child work experience, my approach is deeply empathetic, informed by professional training and lived experiences as a parent, partner, and advocate in the neurodivergent community.
As a passionate lifelong learner, I am pursuing psychology and visual arts studies at Thompson Rivers University, focusing on social psychology, children’s and young adult literature, and visual storytelling. My academic work often explores themes of identity, power, and representation, reflecting a deep commitment to understanding the broader societal structures that shape human experiences. In addition, I have taken Indigenous studies courses to gain a deeper awareness of historical and generational trauma, particularly as it relates to mental health and advocacy.
As a mother raising an autistic child and supporting a partner with ADHD, I bring a unique perspective to my counselling practice. This personal journey has provided firsthand experience in navigating neurodiversity, understanding the challenges of sensory sensitivities and executive functioning difficulties, and advocating for inclusive systems. Collaborating with educators, professionals, and support networks has ensured my child and other families receive the resources and accommodations they need.
Alongside my therapeutic work, I serve as a strata board member and have gained experience in business management, marketing, and community engagement while running a private practice. Platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and my Wix website allow me to connect with a broader audience and provide education on mental health, neurodiversity, and healing.
With a strong foundation in both academic and lived experience, I am working toward my goal of writing a book about raising an autistic child while healing my inner child trauma. The vision is to create a world where mental health awareness is a priority and where individuals—regardless of their neurotype—are supported, understood, and empowered to thrive.
